I need some help, I am trying to run Dual Monitors and my 280x only has a single DVI port so I want to put my other monitor on my CPU's graphics. Do the 4600HD drivers work on Windows 8.1? cause it seems everytime I download them I have to restore my computer cause it wont start up.

Any suggestions?

Intel's website lists Windows 8.1 as compatible. The link below specifically points to "4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics 4600". You might search their website for your specific CPU and download the proper graphics from there. I wouldn't recommend any sort of "work-around" someone might propose. They'll either work when installed or they wont (and this happens sometimes).

I keep getting a message popping up saying "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"
I have an i7 4770k in the build, So I don't understand.

Ordered one, but just wondering why my CPU's graphics are not working. I paid a fair amount for this and I want to get it all working 100%

If you want both gpus to work, you need to make sure igpu multi monitor is enabled in bios. Typically it's disabled by default. With it off, the igpu is off so it says you don't meet the requirements because it can't see hardware that is off. Also you should have both monitors in, 1 in the mobo and 1 on the 280x.

THanks for the reply, yes it was off. When I enable it, it gives me settings What should I do with these:

Initiate GFX Adapter [PEG] or [IGD]
Integrated GFX Share Memory [64m] [128m] [256m]
DVMT Memory [256m] [Maximum]

Initiate GFX Adapter - PEG (this tells your BIOS which card to run with as the default)
Integrated GFX Share Memory - as low as possible to still be able to perform what tasks you need, as this is taken away from your system's usable RAM.
DVMT Memory - again, as low as possible.

Unless you specifically have a need for it, I would think that running with the processor's graphics turned off may benefit in lower overall TDP of your system. I doubt it will cost as much for your main graphics card to run two screens as using graphics from both your main graphics card and processor would, plus you have the added overhead of asking Windows to maintain two separate graphics drivers. That's a lot more code in which you could have bugs, not that you will necessarily run into any, but statistically you're running more code with two separate cards going in that manner.

Okay I've done that in my BIOS now going to try and install the Drivers for HD 4600

EDIT: I've downloaded, but it doesn't seem like the monitor is being detected?

EDIT: The Intel HD GFX Control Panel isn't opening up? it appears for like 2 seconds and gone.

EDIT: In Device Manager is shows the the HD4600 is working fine, Monitor is still black. :S

Nope only one, If I detect another it pops up "Another Display not detected" I used this display like three days ago so it works fine. I tried both DVI and VGA nothing just black screen. Idk what I am missing

EDIT: Just looked in my Motherboards manual and it said HDMI (This platform supports Dual-Display by integrated Graphics output ports" So I am guessing only HDMI can be used for multi.

Virtu doesn't work With windows 8.1, it crashes windows. My friend has a monitor working off his igpu and gpu without virtu on windows 7. I am totally confused about all this . I would like the igpu cause of quicksync.

I have a monitor in my GPU (DVI D-link) and I would like my other DVI monitor to go in my IGPU so I can use Quicksync when streaming. But that monitor isn't turning on no matter what I do.

I agree with k1114. If you want to be sure your on-processor graphics are working, take out your add-in board graphics card and try running the system from only the integrated graphics. If that works, I would then leave it as is, then reinstall the graphics card, and see what happens. You may have an incompatible setup that you are trying to run.

It does, only if I go into my BIOS and change the Primary GPU from PEG to IGD then my 280x doesn't work

EDIT: If I change it from IGD to PEG for primary only my left monitor (The one plugged into Mobo socket) Turns on, but then turns black at windows boot. If I turn it back to IGD then my Asus monitor turns (The One plugged into 280x) on but the Left monitor doesn't. Maybe the new 280x Drivers are conflicting with the Intel HD 4600 Drivers? or windows 8.1 doesn't support it.

He has a Gigabyte sniper m5? I think same CPU and a Nvidia 770.

EDIT : I've got it working with the new Virtu MVP 2.0 Beta build for windows 8.1. I have it set in I-mode and both monitors work as well as Quicksync. Thats for all the help!
