So I recently upgraded from an ASUS m5a99x evo r2.0 and AMD FX-8120 to a GIGABYTE GA170X SLI and i5-6600k. With my old setup I used to use a wake on lan app on my android phone to turn on my computer, however after updating to the new hardware I can't seem to get WoL to work. I am able to wake the computer from a sleep state but cannot wake it from a powered off state. Please suggest even basic steps as I may have missed something when setting it up.

Yeah I do have it enabled in bios. I found this post on reddit though which suggested updating drivers and disabling quick boot under "what power buttons do" in power management, one of those two things finally fixed it for me although I am fairly certain I already had the most up to date drivers.

Edit: here is a link to the reddit post incase anybody else has this issue - https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3f73sz/psaif_windows_10_killed_your_wol_functionality_or/
