Question Enabling xmp changes bclk

So I just changed my cpu from a 6600k to a 7700 non k. Was a little adventure, with some bent pins, but finally fixed and working. When I try to enable xmp it raises the bclk from 100 to 102.3. I didn't try to boot with those settings aas I've read to leave the bclk alone.

Is this safe? Should I go ahead and enable xmp, or just manually overclock? I've never oc ram before other than xmp.

Specs are:
Asus maximus viii hero
Gskill ripjawz v 3000mhz 2x8gb
I7 7700.
