Hi,
I have a non oced 6700k, msi z270 and a Coolermaster MA610P.
When I enable the xmp profile in the bios settings the cpu temperature goes up to 80c. However, when I disable it, the temperature looks good (max ~60-63)
My ram is 3000mhz and I can see a very noticable difference in performance with cpu intense games like AC Odyssey when I enable or disable xmp

Is that difference is temp normal?

Solution
Unknown if it is "normal". But it does indicate that your CPU is being bottlenecked by RAM bandwidth. So that when the RAM is faster, the CPU can stay busy more and therefore has a higher temp.
But 80C on a non-overclocked CPU with aftermarket cooling is not correct. I think you need to redo your cooler installation after re-reading the instructions.
