Enabling XMP using 2 different sets of RAM.

I bought 2 sets of the same Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB RAM for a total of 32GB (All four slots filled). Can I enable XMP even though the sets were bought separately? I'm using an Asus Z170a MOBO and the i7 6700.

Maybe... Probably. If all the timings and voltages are the same, then you should be able to. The manufacturer won't guarantee it, but you have a decent chance.

If there is an issue, would I know right away upon turning the computer on? I've had XMP enabled for a few hours now with no issues as far as I can tell. I've been using Adobe Premiere and Chrome.
