Encountering bottleneck, need compatible CPU for OED desktop

I recently got an HP elitedesk 705 g2 sff for free and moved it to a larger case to accommodate a gtx 1060 video card, but I encountered a CPU bottleneck issue (I think) with the AMD A10 8750b APU trying to run destiny 2 on it. I know this is a long shot and that I'll probably just have to buy a new motherboard and ram as well, but:

Is there a CPU that is compatible with the setup that will run fine while gaming?

Current CPU: AMD A10 PRO 8750B
I had trouble identifying the motherboard as it's custom made from HP.

If there's any additional info you need to help I'll try my best!

You'd be better off looking for a older 4th gen Intel, like the i5 4690k or i7 4790k and a motherboard.

Or for a new system build a i3-8100 or i5 8400, or for AMD Ryzen 2600. That would require new RAM though.

Not sure how much ram that has. If it only has like 4gb that's going to be an issue also.

The HP desktop has 16gb DDR3 ram but, as far as I can see, I'm encountering no problems with the memory. 4th gen Intel with a compatible motherboard would support DDR3, correct?

Yes it should, and even a 4th gen Intel will absolutely demolish the AMD in performance. If for whatever reason the RAM doesn't work you can find used DDR3 ram fairly cheap used as well.
