So i was going through my computer to find something and noticed this END file and im not mistaking it for .rnd File its just a file named END, i have opened it in notepad and the only thing it displays is "{}" without the speech marks. Anyone have any idea what this is? i've scanned it with AVG Pro and it has come up with no threat so probably nothing malicious but that doesn't mean drawing the line on malicious.

I have seen people have this END file on windows 7 just browsing the web but it doesn't seem like i have found anything similar online because when they have opened it they find "ConduitOk" inside where as mine has "{}" so im really puzzled to what this may be and where it has come from.

I have torrented some things which has made me think that might be the cause or possibly a file that has ended up there because of a game. But that seems unlikely as everything to do with games goes in my Program Files (x86) so it would be in there if it was to do with a game but maybe not im not sure. Its just the fact its called END has spiked my interest into what it is and where its from. Probably many answers.

I would upload screenshots but im not sure how to on here.

Further information on the file:
Name: END
Type: File
Bytes: 2
and it is located in Windows 🙂C) under all my files.

Thanks for taking time to read and help me with this problem / annoyance.

Solution
why not move it into the recycle bin and if its needed you can always put it back. I think its just a left over from some other program you installed.

I ran a scan with Malwarebytes full PC scan and scanned the END file and go 0 threats so i guess we can say it isnt harmful.
So what now exactly? Think i should delete it or just leave it there, although it is playing on my PC OCD haha.

Going back on this, Would deleting this hanging file in my C drive be ok? ive tried clicking delete and it prompts a admin vitrifaction so that makes me think its important somehow and has been misplaced?
