Hi,
I am thinking of buy Gigabyte p35X V3 gaming laptop and I hear it chews through its battery life in no time at all. I am going to uni and I would like to use it as my uni laptop as well as for gaming however ill need a little more battery life than it can offer out of the box. I found the Energizer XP18000A which claims that you can charge your laptop with it. My concern is that the Gigabyte will just draw too much power. The only time I will be using this battery is when I am at uni so I wont be gaming and the laptop shouldn't be under load. Will the Energizer XP18000A be fine to use with the Gigabyte p35x v3 or will I have to look for other solutions?

The Energizer XP18000A pack has an 18000 mAh battery.
The output specifications are (DC 5V, 2.1A / DC 12V, 2A / DC 19V, 3.5A)

The Gigabytes battery specs are, Li-Polymer, 11.1V, 75.81Wh

Thanks!

Did you check the battery life on the laptop for regular use or how long it lasts when gaming? Any laptop with high end CPU and GPU made for gaming will have low battery life, but you can always set the power options to low.
The battery pack may not work too well, the power brick for the laptop looks to be 19.5V and over 9 amps, that 3.5 amp rating will not work too well with the laptop.
