Several months ago, (don't know the exact date) the power supply in my PC was replaced. It was replaced with the Enermax 500w naxn psu. I have been using the psu with a gtx1050ti comfortably (I think 😬) but it is time for an upgrade. I want to get a gtx1060 6gb and I was wondering would I run into any problems using this graphics card with that psu?

Also I haven't had to add any pins in to get the gtx1050ti running, but with the gtx1060 6gb you need the extra pins. I can use a 6+2P (8P) PCI-E 2.0 to run it so I was wondering would all this work?

Not particularly wanting to upgrade my psu as I lack the knowledge and money to do so, but if it is paramount that i do need to, I will.

A gaming system needs a high quality, dependable power supply. You're not going to find that with entry level Enermax models.
High Quality 550 watt PSU's

If I remember from the other thread, @AjBro is in New Zealand (?)

Might be able to find reasonable power supplies a little cheaper, but the PSU is the lifeblood of your system. The cleanness/stability of the power will help keep your components alive and lasting longer, and a good PSU that happens to fail will protect the rest of your system. A poor-quality one that fails might well take other components with it.

This is the lowest cost PSU I'd consider using. The Corsair CX550 (2017 grey label).
