Is this power supply good enough for this system especially with these video cards?

I have a amd quad core 945 3.0 processor
4 gigs of ram
sli 2 gts 250s
and 1 9600 gt dedicated physix card
dvd/cd rw
MSI NF980-G65 triple sli motherboard

That PSU is PLENTY for those 3 video cards. The gts250's really don't consume that much power, and a 9600GT wouldn't even add much more. You could really probably get away with a 700-750W PSU for that setup.

The GTS250 has a max power of 105W. The Nvidia recommended requirements state a 450W PSU for the total system. Add 105w for the extra GTS250 which is 560W. There are (2) version of the 9600GT, so lets go with the more power consuming one at 96W max. Add that into our total and it gives us 656W max usage, and this probably isn't even realistic. So a 700-750W would be a good choice. I'd lean to a 750w to be honest.

thx for the reply. I agree with you a 800 watt would be good enough but im making this pc to be upgradable for the next 5 yrs atleast. I will need 1000 watts in the future to sli newer nvidia cards and that is what my plain is. Also I Plan on capping out the ram memory too.
