I have recently bought a new graphics card and case, Gigabyte 1080 G1 and Cooler Master MasterBox MB500. I unfortunately didn't look into upgrading my PSU so before new parts come and I put everything together I wanted to see whether I should wait to buy a new PSU or use this one temporarily.

Cooler Master PSU Calculator
Load Wattage: 445 W
Recommended PSU Wattage: 495 W

The parts I'm using
Intel Core i7 7700K - Base clock speed
GTX 950
2x 8GB Ram
1TB HDD and 250GB SSD
1 DVD RW Optical Drive
1x 120mm cpu fan, locked onto heatsink
VS 450 PSU

New parts
3x Additional 120mm case fans
GTX 1080

My question is, should I build the PC and use it like normal till I have the money for a new PSU or should I wait till have the money and continue with my current build.

Thanks, I look forward to your feedback.

The recommended system power for the 1080 is 500w. You only have a 450w, that too a very bad(Corsair VS) one. Its a huge risk with that kind of hardware.
I would rather wait for a better PSU than take that kind of risk.

Atleast get this...

Power Supply: SeaSonic - S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($36.62 @ Newegg)
Total: $36.62

Not the best, but it will do.

Solution

That's a higher end system so a good quality PSU is really recommended.

Something like these and 550W min.

Seasonic Focus Plus
EVGA G2 or G3
Corsair RMX
