hi everyone,
I am a college student and I just wanted to start pc gaming at 1080p or 2k.. however, I am at a very tight budget so I have decided to buy 1 or maybe 2 components a month..
the specs of my pc are as follows:
i3 2120
nvidia GeForce gt610
intel DH67BL mobo
4gb ram
1TB HDD
please help me in how should I be going about in terms of upgrading the parts and which part should I upgrade first..
please give me suggestions for a good pc build keeping in mind the budget too

Budget per month would be useful but I’d personally say GPU + PSU first because that’s less expensive than a platform upgrade

Gpu upgrade for 2k gaming is $350-400 about
Ryzen 3600 and b450 and 16gb ram is about $350-$400 as well so iys not necessarily cheaper and im guessing if he wants 2k gaming he will want high or ultra not gtx 1660ti performance

And personally id get platform change first incase something happens and you can buy a new platform for a while the i3 will bottle neck tremendously and you have to dissasemble the full pc to change the platform and you will not want to install and unistall gpu multiple times

I game at 1440p max and my GPU cost £250...

the i3 will bottleneck a lot less than a 610...

If you’re going b450 you should get a 2600 amd I dunno where you’re getting 300 from a 3600 costs 200 plus the B450 board at 100 for a good one then the worst RAM for Ryzen for 100 that’s 400 minimum.

I said 350 to 400 but ram is quite cheap if you dont want rgb
What gpu do you have? I know 1660ti can do 1440p well but i was thinking of 14400 144hz

You have to get Ryzen compatable and 3000mhz+ you can’t get any 2 cheap sticks.

vega 56 what “budget” builder goes 2k 144?
Oh yes vega 56 is amazing
I have 2400 on my3600 and i manned to oc the ram to 3400mhz and it runs amazingly but i saw gskill 3000mhz for relatively cheap Like $68 Which is good enough and can oc to 3200mhz easily

With your suggested parts i can buy a car in my country
And i have to work 10 years or more to get paid for them.
