Entering the BIOS

So my screen broke on my laptop so I have it hooked to a monitor but I can't enter the bios since I don't know what f key to click and another question is will the bios appear on the monitor. Also if it helps it's an hp pavilion

There are many, many HP Pavilion laptop models. Look for the model number on the case and then go to the HP web site and download a manual for the specific model you have. It will tell you what the BIOS hot key is for that model and how to go about setting the BIOS to use the external monitor.

As a "general" rule most HP laptops use the F10 key to get into BIOS. you can also try taping "ESC" on boot up if taping F10 doesn't work.
