Enterprise SSD

In a meeting today I was told that while a 256GB SATA3 SSD for home use would cost around $250 a 250GB SSD used in an enterprise setting for a server in a data center is better, faster, more durable and plugs in to a slot that is a far faster connection that SATA3 would be.

And then they said they cost around 18K?!

So I'm curious ... do they really cost so much more and why is that (aside that it is IBM and that costs big bucks)???
