This issue only popped up two days ago - whenever I leave a full screen application (including Borderless Window), my PC freezes up for around 0.5 seconds three times consecutively (this includes the audio). I noticed this while I was using Telegram, after clicking on an image and leaving it, my PC would do that. Then the same with games like Rainbow Six.

I have a G-Sync monitor (1440/165) and a normal one (1080/144), could that be the issue?

When asking for help, its always appreciated to include system information so people trying to help know what they're dealing with. Thanks.

Since i know now you're running Win10 i can suggest instead of guessing to have a look at your gamebar settings. If on, gamebar enables fullscreen optimisation which is like a blend between fullscreen & bordeless. Meant for easier tabbing between apps.

Gamebar might be causing your issue, if you've turned gamebar off, try enabling it. Windows key + G.

Since your issue is only recent, id guess it could be an Windows update related. Have you installed/reinstalled latest gpu drivers?

Windows 10
GTX 1080 G1 Gaming
i7-7700k
Asus Z270-F
850W EVGA Gold Power Supply
2x16 Kingston DDR4.

I don't get how these are related, since the problem only started yesterday, but there.
