Hi,
Tom's latest article tsates that this MB has on-board RAID. This would be great, since I want to go with RAID on my next box, but the ABIT KT7 RAID controller isn't supported under Linux. So I jumped over to the Epox site, (http://www.epox.com/html/english/products/motherboard/ep-8kta3.htm) to find out what controller they use, but found only this:

"UltraDMA-100 EIDE Controllers. (Up to 4 IDE devices).
Backwards compatible with PIO mode 3/4 & UltraDMA-33/66."

No mention of RAID!?! Anybody have any clue on this? Is Tom wrong, or the Epox site?
Thanks
Eric

There is a version on the market including a '+' (plus) which provides Raid with a Highpoint 370 Controller instead of the Promise Fasttrack assembled on other MB like Asus.

8KTA3 is the Epox mobo without RAID
8KTA3<b>+</b> is with RAID
The RAID controller is the same highpoint 370 controller found on all the other 'RAID' boards, and thus, I expect you will get the same driver issues.
