Epson 4990 - API

I'm trying to find API specification for new Epson 4990 scanner.
Google found nothing. There is also no information
at www.epsondevelopers.com website about this scanner.
Does it use ESC\I command set?
I will be gratefull for any information.

I would not go for the 4990 if I was you, because in TRANSPARANCY
mode, the scan area is limited to 5.7x9.1 while using Twain commands.
If using the GUI, you can scan 8x10. I reported this "feature" to
Espon, but they are not supporting Twain anymore (?!?). Yes they
actually said that, go figure ...
