Question Epson printer offline on mac osx 10.8.1

All of a sudden, my Epson printer will not print on my MAC, Can't find a solution in help to get the printer to print online

You go to the printer options in Mac os, or the drivers section and right click and enable online mode. Its obviously been set in the driver as off line.

Thank you for your help. As a newbee to Mac OSX10.8.1 I have so many issues and appreciate you heading me in the right direction for the printer. As it turned out, the printer cord was loose and I'm now on the road to recovery on that issue. Now when I go to options now, I can see the "on line" or "offline."

Don't suppose you know about an issue with Microsoft Word 2007. My son copied all the files from my old mac to this new one but I'm unable to use MS Excel to obtain all my spreadsheets with personal data. When I try to open it says "this is no longer available because PC power no longer supports them....Greek to me. Anyhow, thanks for listening.

Go to system settings and select the ‘Printer’ option. Right-click on the printer and enable the ‘Use Printer Online’ function. Cancel all the printing jobs till that moment and redo the process. Sometimes the ‘Printer Offline’ message occurs due to a ‘Job Stuck’ issue. Check all network connections and functions. Be sure the network interfaces work properly. Turn the printer off and on to see whether the device is working properly.
