Question EPSON Stylus Color 760 won't print

My EPSON Stylus Color 760 won't print even though I have placed a new black cartridge?
Does it need the coloured one to be replaced too?
I have tried all the usual scans but nothing printing onto paper.
Thanks for all your help it is very much appreciated as this is driving me mad.

Regardless of whether you want to print black only or colour only, both cartridges must always be present , otherwise the printer will not work.
