I was looking at my motherboard and saw these switches for EPU and TPU and was wondering what they were for? I did a little bit of research and decided to come her for a little bit more information. Here are my questions:

  1. How much performance increase will this give your CPU?
  2. There is 2 levels, TPU1 and TPU2, which one?
  3. Should you have EPU and TPU on at the same time?
  4. Can you use this without a non-k CPU? Will it still give a performance boost?

Solution
TPU (Turbo Progress Unit) Introduction

TPU allows you to manually adjust the CPU frequency and related voltages for enhanced system stability, performance boost. EPU is a real-time system power-saving chip that automatically detects the current system load and intelligently moderates the power usage.
