I'm looking for a 2nd account and am wondering if anybody has one they no
longer want. I currently play a 70 enchanter and was 2 boxing for a while
with my brothers beastlord but now he is back to playing full time so I've
only got my 1 account again. I'd love to get my own 2nd account and the
thought of buying all the expansions again and starting from lvl 1 doesn't
appeal to me. Characters don't have to be 'uber' or anything but just
something I can take over and progress on. I know many people have quit EQ so
there has to be accounts laying around nobody wants anymore. My email is
chaugen@abe.midco.net and my ICQ # is 5920325 if someone would like to contact
me.

I don't see how $40US is "not appealing"... or is it having to level up
from level 1? Oh and how do I come up with $40US.. $20 for omens which
when I bought my copy included the handy dandy Yellow Buddy key for
platinum and $20 for DoN.. Boom back to the present. Oh and This
Newsgroup is likely the worst place to try and find a seller... People
have been Beaten(verbally) within an inch of their life for attempting
to buy or sell accounts here. If you really must buy an account tho
They run $3-500US on various sites you can find by using google...
personally $40 is a much better deal.

Well, first of all, buying accounts from others is not only against
the contract you've digitally signed every time you logged into EQ
(Exception being EQ2 and their exchange servers, which haven't started
yet as far as I know). Second of all, there's huge potential to be
scammed doing this. A seller can easily email SOE and have their
password reset to get it back from you after getting the cash and
there wouldn't be a damn thing you could do about it. Lastly, if
actually playing the game doesn't appeal to you...find a new one.

And it would be $90 or so to have your character transfered to the new
account from your old account that your brother now plays on............

I understand Station Exchange was developed for just this purpose. I've
heard you can get a custom built character, any level, any aa's, for a
price, no questions asked. Gear is extra and is delivered by robots. I
am not sure why.

For more information, look at http://stationexchange.station.sony.com/

It sounded like he was playing his brothers character as the second half
of his duo, so transfering it to a different account would not really be
helpful.

Let me rephrase a little bit. I don't want to 'buy' an account. I know many
people have quit EQ and I'm willing to bet that some have no desire to play
again so there are accounts just sitting there never to be played again. If
someone reads this and would like to give me their account I'd be more than
happy to take it off their hands. If not then no big deal I will buy the
expansions again and start a new account on my own. Thought I would try going
this route first.

Don't suppose there's any harm in that. People give accounts to friends and
family all the time. Trouble is, I would be surprised to find anyone who
would be interested enough in EQ to still be reading this group, yet
detached enough to give up their cancelled account forever.
