eq2 betrayal of freeport

I'm level 17 brawler, and I did the run from freeport to qeynos as a test
with a level 30 guy, and we found something odd. Grey mobs still attacked
us. eg level 22 mobs.

Also it was a lot tougher than the last time he did the run and the old
guides seem to have been invalidated by a patch. There was a lot more aggro
mobs in nek, although the run through TS was ok (got stunned but survived).

I'm thinking about how I can do the run solo, and it seems unlikely. My FD
will be ignored, and there's lots of roaming aggro groups. I was thinking a
totem of the wolf might help with running although i presume the illusion is
just a special effect and doesn't actually help? They really seem to have
made the run hard for anyone not grouped. A shame, that's one type of quest
that I think should be soloable for all classes.

I soloed that run for the betrayal quite easily. Just follow the path
and don't stop at all for any reason. You need to watch what's coming
up and go slightly off the path as necessary.

The quest is not soloable at all as you need to kill 6 group++ mobs and
I think that they all con blue or above. You can't even just level up
until they are green or grey as you're prevented from leveling past 17
until it's complete.

Steve has good advice for completing the run. I am just going to add
that they made a change recently (Update 4 maybe?), where if a mob is
aggro and red to you ungrouped, it will still be agro to you while
grouped. They added that to keep the high levels from graying out
zones like you were trying to do.

Just keep running, make sure you are drinking something, and sprint
when you need. Don't stop, don't look back. Nek can be a scary place.
