Haven't seen anything for ping or packetloss (I miss the EQ1 meter to tell me
before I LD, but I also haven't had much problem with it in EQ2).

FRAPS (www.fraps.com) is a very nice utility for measuring video FPS in
any game. If you pay, you also get nice screenshot and other features, but
the FPS meter is part of the freebie version.
