EQ2 Enchanter Question

Hi gang!

I'll be starting EQ2 in a few weeks and was wondering what the path is to
get an enchanter ie. What race and sub decisions i should make.

Race? Any with decent starting intelligence will do. See the official
website for starting stats of each race. The path there would be
mage->enchanter. Simple, huh? From enchanter, you can split off into
one of two sub classes, which are decided by whether you want to be
good or evil.

There are no race/class dependences in EQ2. Once you hit lvl 8 the game
prompts you to go and select a mage subclass, so the path to being an
enchanter is pretty much unmissable.
