This is too funny. Now you can type /pizza in EQ2 and order a Pizza Hut
pizza. Wonder how much Sony gets for that.

*Shrugs* If you wanna use it, use it. If you don't, you never have to
see it. Not like it does anything you can't do with a shortcut on your
web browser.

Nothing like reinforcing the image of the fat, sweaty guy sitting at the
keyboard playing games and eating pizza huh? Oh wait.... I am.... eh works

Lol, that's awesome.

What they should've done is made it in game... you have to actually
show up at a Pizza Hut, hail some apathetic teenager behind the
counter, and order.

You say, 'Hail, Lothar Pizzakeeper!"
You say, 'Hail, Lothar Pizzakeeper!"
You say, 'Hail, Lothar Pizzakeeper!"
Lothar Pizzakeeper says, "Welcome to [Pizza] Hut! Would you like to
hear about our [specials]?'
You say, "What pizza?"
Lothar Pizzakeeper says, "Buy one [large] with your choice of
[toppings], get a second for only $5!"
You say, "I want one large with pepperoni."
You say, "What large with pepperoni?"
Lothar Pizzakeeper says,"I am woefully low on pepperoni. However,
perhaps you may help me. I hear [rumors] of a foul beast living in
the wilds of Odus."
You say, "What rumors?"
Lothar Pizzakeeper says, "A terrible beast stalks the woods at night:
the Ronimancer. Bring me his fang, and I shall bestow great [rewards]
upon you."
You say, "Screw that, I'm going to Domino's."
Lothar Pizzakeeper hits YOU for 756 points of damage.
Lothar Pizzakeeper hits YOU for 1272 points of damage.
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...

(Sorry about the EQ1-isms, I haven't played EQ2... but oh the
possibilities.)

I had noticed that they actually removed the NVidia advert that used to
pop up when you start up EQ1 some time back.

A buddy who plays EQ2 tried this, it didn't work at all for him. Why's that?

The principles are ridiculous. This is completely harmless. Probably
more there for the humor than a serious ad campaign.

I tried it to see what happens, it pops you to the pizza hut website, where
you can order online. Mind you, if I was going to go that route, I'd go
with Papa John's long before Pizza hut, but, that's a different issue.

Hmm...perhaps people would be happier if it where a configurable option? If
it allowed you to point the /pizza command to your pizza house of choice?
Enter the URL and off you go...

Sure, they might loose the referral to Pizza Hut, but it might make some
people happier.

Well, they are pretty far down the list too, just they are the best I have
found that you can order from online in my area. I much prefer good
nonchain pizza joints.

It's less intrusive than the Dell and nVidia adverts that you have to
click through (or just wait for) that have been there since day one.
