[SOLVED] erase free space el capitan

hello, i've recently upgraded to el capitan. when i go in disk utility i cannot see the option "erase free space" which was present under yosemite. anybody has any clue what happened ? does apple suppose everybody has ssd's on their mac ?

You need to use the "diskutil" command in a terminal window. Type "man diskutil" to find out the full list of options.
