Erasing a hard drive full of virus from old pc

If I plug it into a PC to erase it will the viruses spread to my other hard drive and affect my PC?

No - do a complete format (NTFS). Disable "Autorun" first, then connect the hard disk and format NTFS.

plug it on open disk management and delete the partitions then create a new simple partition reformat and your good.

the simple fix is to use a windows boot cd or usb stick..boot from the stick and delete using diskpart to wipe the drive. if not make a hirem boot disk and use there free disk wipe tools. no need to pull the old drive out.

Easier and cheaper is to format it using a Linux LiveUSB. Format it as NTFS or FAT32 or else Windows will not like it.

1) Plug it in, format it by right clicking and click format.
2) Once erased, scan your whole system with your anti-virus, use Malware-Bytes and Microsoft security essentials.
3) I never suggest using spyware blaster since it doesn't detect all of the virus's, so please use the ones above.
4) Once scanned remove all virus's if there is any and sit back and relax
