Hi, i ve built a PC 2 months ago and my motherboard was Asus M5A97 LE R2.0. Before a month, i bought a new mouse. There are lights in this mouse and i liked it. After first shutdown, i saw that mouse lights were still lighting. It was really annoying in full dark at night and i thought it was also draining my mouse's life. I decided to get over that light when computer was close. I searched the web, and found a solution in someone's thread in here. They said that you can disable Erp Support in Bios, so that your motherboard wont send energy to the USB Ports after shutdown. They said Erp Support is for charging phones or something when your computer is off. I gave a shot and it worked. I used it like 1 month with zero problem. Last week, when i clicked power button to open my computer, my computer shut itself down after a few seconds. Then i clicked again, and boom. There were smokes whole around the room, and it shutted itself again. My motherboard was set on fire. And i took it to service and still waiting for it. The point is, fire location was just a few inches aside where the usb and analog mouse-keyboard ports are exist. I thought maybe giving power to ports on every start up should make a burn in there. My market's service said that "It is just condansator burn, it was surely short circuit." Should i believe him and set my Erp Support to disable again when i received my MB, or just leave it enable ? Thanks. Btw, i did not touch anything in Bios except Erp.
