Hello.

I have bought a new Lenovo Yoga 2 13" with pre installed Win8 on a normal HDD. Thus I added a SSD (Crucial CT240M500SSD4 M500) and tried to install Windows 8 via an USB-stick on it. This did not work and I got the error 0x080070057.

Things I tried:
- Google suggested that I should delete all partitions during installation, create a new one and format it -> same error
- I booted a Linux live OS (Gparted) and created the partitions there. It worked (aka I got no error from Linux), Windows still gave that error during installation.
- I created a new gpt, again Windows won't install.
- Checked if the SSD is malfunctioning with badblocks -> no errors
- Changed boot priority
- Completely wiped the normal HDD

I still get the error 0x80070057. Do you have any advice, what might help?

Thank you in advance.

As I already said, I tried this solution a) during installation b) with windows installed on another drive and c) under Linux.
I always get the error, that Windows can not format the drive (Linux does not complain, but installing still won't work).
