Getting this error code when attempting to download a game (state of decay2). I tried the recommended fixes to no avail. What bothers me, is that the game has been on my system for a long time, and ran fine. The recommended fixes all say it has to do with an update, but my PC is updated. I have run the trouble shooter multiple times, un-installed/re-installed both Xbox and windows store, ran scanow, etc. i have run out of things to try! It downloads to 100% then throws the error code. Any Ideas?

Solution
There is a big misunderstanding of how the Xbox App works on PC. The Xbox App is not a stand alone application like Steam, Origin or GoG Galaxy. In terms of downloading and even running games, the Xbox App is like a portal. When you chose to download a PC
game on the App, the download is sent to the Windows Store App, and it is the Windows Store that does the download. The Xbox App doesn't download anything.

Like wise, any error messages you get while downloading content using the App are Windows Error codes.

So are you on version 21H2 of win 10?
Did you run dism as well as SFC/Scannow?

I spent close to 2 hours with support. They remotely tried everything, and decided a reinstall of Windows would fix it.....it did not. Running 21H2, fully updated (every time I start up my PC, I have been checking for updates)....ran DISM, uninstalled/reinstalled Store as well as X-box. After a second call to game pass support, they suggested i contact Windows support. Microsoft's support for windows is non existent. There is no online chat, no phone number, just an "ask the community", which was useless.

I have given up on getting the game to run through windows x-box, and purchased it on STEAM.....ran in fine, and runs like a charm.
I will not use Windows store or "game pass" anymore.
