All it does is replaces windows, everything else stays as it is now.
It takes 20 minutes, longest part is getting the cumulative updates afterwards.

Something broke windows update in June. Lots of people are having problems with the update.

No, it is not that patch. It is a Windows insider update 22622.436. I had the same problem with an earlier update, and I had to do a clean install. I do not want to clean install every time.

Isn't that the dev build? nvm, seems its beta channel

I wonder if you can run a repair install on it. Do you get an ISO to install each time or just an update? isn't there a page to download the ISO?

I suspect you can run the repair install on insiders build, using same method as link.

if you don't want as many problems, swap to release branch or use standard windows 11.
