I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this thread, but hey-ho.
I have an Edimax PCIe WiFi card which ran fine on my previous, 32bit, installation of Win7 Ultimate. I upgraded to an SSD and changed to 64bit in the process. The device in question does have a 64bit driver, but try as I might, Win7 Ultimate 64bit doesn't detect the card automatically. When I try a manual install from Device Manager I get a code 10, device cannot start. I should add I have downlaoded and installed the requisite driver from Edimax AND the vanilla Realtek driver as suggested by their support.
I have spoken to Edimax support who tried, but were not especially helpful in, solving the problem and I was wondering if you lovely people might be able to help.
Many Thanks,
Thomas
