Error 1009: Can not find Hardlock-driver

Greetings,

I havea laptop with Windows 10 64-bit on it. I want to instal software that makes use of a dongle. The light of the dongle is working but when i click on the program icon i always get this message: Error 1009: Can not find Hardlock-driver.

The software works perfect on my desktop computer, who runs at windows 10.
but not on the laptop.
Can somebody help me please?

No, i get the error when i click on the icon of the program to start it. When i was installing the driver there weren't error screens. But i wil give your advice a try maybe it will help.

You need to right-click the command prompt and run it as an administrator.

You need to execute haspdinst.exe from the folder where it was extracted or provide the full path to it.

Hi,

I picked administrator rights and then i go to the folder hardlockdriver in at the software map and there i see following files:
haspds_windows.dll, HASPUserSetup, hdinst_windows.dll, hldinst, hldrv32, install_drv, install_drv_fremove, install_drv_info. What do i need to do?

Have you tried HASPUserSetup? You need to run an installation (.exe) to install or remove the DLLs.

i download a new HASPusersetup from the site of sentinel and replaced it with the old one and then i execute the new one and that was ok (i think so) and then i restart the computer and then i click the icon of the program but then i get another error:
exception EOleSysError in Modu HOPS.exe bei 000988F5.

I don't know what program you use that dongle, but you should be able to check if the dongle is working: http://sentineldiscussion.gemalto.com/topic/how-to-detect-hasp-hl-key-and-verify-it-is-working

the program works what i have done is change the compability in the properties from the progra. the program opens and works at first sight. Due to a newer haspsetup . the hardlock.sys changed from 0.00 tot another value.

You ran into issues because the drivers and the application are not Windows 10 certified.
