Error 1723

i hv windows 7, unable to install java, geeting a error msg "dll files missing etc", please help me out.

Remove older versions of Java - http://java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml

Then install the latest version - http://java.com/en/download/inc/windows_new_ie.jsp

This is a still a problem , can't delete the java from Control Panel\Programs.. i get 1723 error DLL . I do not think it is a window installer cause I am able to install other programs , but anytime I deal w/ java either install or uninstall I get 1723 error . can some one help pls ..
