Everytime I start my computer I get the error message User Disabled (409). This account was disabled due to inactivity. Please go to Myaccount on website and log in to enable. I have no idea what they are talking about. I have tried just about everything including contacting MIcrosoft who were no help at all. I keep deleting this message and it reappears all the time during the day. What account they are referring to I just don't know. I have googled it and followed all different advice and nothing has solved this very annoying problem.

Solution
It comes from VoIP Connect that you certainly didn't use for years.
You have to find you VoIP agent on the list by clicking the VoIP Connect icon (a white square on the taskbar) and search for it in the list.
Once you find it go to their website (i.e. www.voipbuster.com), tab "My account", enter your IP and password and sign in.
Now your account is activated again and the problem must be solved.
Hope this may help.
Sounds like malware. Go to Toolslib.net and download ADWCleaner and run it, then click clean (do not uncheck anything). It will prompt to reboot.
See if that helps.
If not, then download and install MalwareBytes free from malwarebytes.org and run their scan. Remove anything it finds.

Make sure you are at each of these websites, copy and paste or type the addresses in, don't rely on searches to get there.

Thank you for your reply. I downloaded ADW cleaner and ran it as you said and also used Malwarebytes.org scan but my error message is unfortunately still there. Any other ideas gratefully appreciated.

HI there. Just did the system file checker and the result was negative. It did not find any problems to repair. It said there were no violations. My error message is still there so any other ideas what else to try. It is beginning to drive me bonkers!!!!

Thank you Christian. Yes it was Voip Connect. You were 100% right. I did get there eventually through help on another blog page. Thank you so much. I had to go through the start menu and check them out one by one and of course Voip was at the end!!!!
