Error 43 after installing new gpu

when i installed my new gigabyte gtx 1080 in my alienware graphics amplifier i have been getting error 43 in device manager, i have tried everything to get it to work,ddu ,older drivers , a clean install of win 10, updating my bios. Nothing works, so i went back to my older graphics card, a gtx 980 pny and there it is, the same problem, error 43 wich i had never gotten before trying to install my new gpu. So now im wondering, would installing win 8 maybe solve this problem or am i fucked. I realy need help, im out of options and im completely lost here.

Alienware 17 r2
Alienware graphics amplifier
Intel i7-4980hq 2.80ghz
Intel iris pro graphics 5200
16 gb ram
Internal nvidia gtx 980m
Old external gtx 980 pny
New external gigabyte gtx 1080 windforce oc 8g
Win 10

Yeah i’ve already tried all these “easy ” fixes i even did a clean install of windows 10 and still the problem remains

try updating BIOS for your motherboard.

Maybe a defective gpu, very unlikely but still possible. If you still have the warranty contact nvidia and if you bought it second hand ask for a refund unless anything else works
