Hi I recently bought an EVGA rtx 2080. It started giving me game crashes which would freeze the whole pc. After a shutdown the pc would boot up with green artifacts all over and error 43 in device manager under the gpu. After much intensive troubleshooting, I sent in my card to EVGA for an RMA. The card I received was like new and there were even plastic stickers over some places of the card ( which I removed before install of couse). I started playing and all was well. The next day, I started to get the same issue with the new card. My system specs are:

EVGA rtx 2080 xc gaming
Intel i5 9600k
Msi z390 gaming plus
2tb Seagate hdd
Patriot viper 256 m.2 nvme
EVGA 750w b5 modular bronze psu
Team t force vulcan z 16 gb ( 2 x 8 ) 3200mhz cl16 ram
Please help, thanks.

The fact that you were able to play with the new card without problems the first day tells me it isn't a motherboard problem.
The only other thing it could be would be drivers. Did you update the drivers of the card or did windows have a update ready when you tried to poweroff?
Although I doubt drivers would suddenly do this to your card still good info to have.

If you didn't update the drivers or anything the only thing I can say is to again sent your card in to EVGA.

I used ddu to uninstall the on board and any previous nvidia drivers that I had. I then shut down the pc and installed the gpu. I first allowed windows to install its display drivers, then I manually installed the newest ones. Maybe I should have installed the latest driver right away without instead of letting windows install it's own first and then mine.
