Error 55 motherboard ram problem

So I'm almost done with my pc build all setup and I get an error 55 and think is means the ram the motherboard is z170x-ud3 and ram is Team Dark 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Memory (Desktop Memory) are they not compatible?

you need a z270 motherboard instead of the z170. z170 only supports skylake out of the box, it needs to have the BIOS updated to work with kaby lake.

either return it and buy z270, or take it to a computer repair shop that will do this for cheap.
