Hi,

Did a BIOS flash today, but it made my bios boot time even worse. I decided to put my old version back, but i got the following error: "BIOS Write Protected". This is the first time i encounter this error, i have no idea how to fix this. Cant find any option in the BIOS for disabling this. I have this bios : LINK.

Motherboard : MSI P45 Diamond (MS-7516)

Solution
you can get another computer like a laptop and find the new bio's you had and put it on a flash drive and plug it in the computer and when you start your computer go to the boot settings in bios and run the flash drive and update your bios.

like my asrock z68 fatality pro gen 3 when i go to bio's under boot options there is something called instant flash where if you have the bio's file in a flash drive you can plug it into the computer and go to instant flash and it will run your flash drive and update the bio's

Yes i did that, but when try to flash to the latest version from a usb stick and DOS, then it says : Error : Bios write protected.

I just cant figure out how i can disable the write protection. Cant find anything in my motherboard manual about jumpers and cant find the setting in the bios either. The older version didnt have a write protection.
