- MSI z170a Gaming M5
- i7 6700k
- Corsair H100i
- 2x8GB RAm DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX
- Corsair PSU RMi 650 w Gold.
- RX 6650 XT 8GB
My rig is about 7 years old and last week it froze while gaming for the first time. I upgraded my GPU 3 weeks ago and I had it all working stably for over 2 weeks.
I am very puzzled and have no idea what could be the reason.
After some failed attempts (clearing CMOS, reseating GPU, reseating and testing RAM, trying a new PSU, etc.), I eventually could no longer boot again using slots DIMM3 or DIMM4. So this "00-4C-55-0d-30" error code is shown in the mobo's debug led.
I used to have 2x8 GB dual channel on slots DIMM2 and DIMM4, as recommended. Even with XMP on. But now it does no longer work.
All old threads I am retrieving regarding the same error indicate it's a memory issue due to bent pins. But I am unable to see any. Can you?
Here's another one:
Pc works and behaves, apparently, fine with one stick of RAM, or even two, using slots DIMM1 and DIMM2. Any suggestions on what to try next?
