error code 0x8007045d at expanding files when installing windows 7

Hey guys, I have a custom built pc that's getting the message "windows cannot install required files" with the error code 0x8007045d during the expanding windows files section. Tried deleting and creating partitions, chkdsk, and removing 1 stick of ram as well as a few other things.

Generally at a loss and debating buying a new HDD because I am led to believe that is the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows a number of times due to other issues.

this error points to bad install media.where did you get your dvd from?is it smudged or scratched?

Couple different discs. Used a windows get genuine online kit disk that I got online and windows 7 upgrade disk that my parents used on their computers. I also burned an ISO of windows ondo a DVD and tried that. All got the same problem.

this is the best site to download your windows from.also,when installing use the option to do a clean (custom) install which will format the hdd.
