Hi

I was working away on my laptop and it restarted. It then went onto a recovery screen with error code: 0xc0000428. The only option is esc which takes me to the UEFI firmware settings of which i know nothing about. I am using the latest windows 10 64 bit system. My laptop is an Asus notebook x555la using intel i7 processor. I don't have a usb or disk with windows 10 on and if i leave it on the recovery screen the laptop just turns itself off. I have been having audio driver issues lately so i can only assume that has something to do with it. I have uni deadlines to mwet before xmas so any help would be massive.

Thanks
Jack.

Looks like that error means unable to verify digital signature. You could try getting the ISO with the mediacreation tool for whatever version is installed. Use something like rufus or burn it to dvd.

Then boot from it

Looks like some people fixed this prob by booting from dvd then going into a command prompt

Then type in

bootrec /fixMBR
bootrec /fixBoot
bootrec /rebuildING
