Error code = 1117

I am using acer Win 7 Home Basic. Now I can't boot my windows due to "NLS Data" missing.So that I used acer recovery tools to restore Factory but I Got a time to time restore Failed - Error code = 1117 (The Request Couldnot be perfomed because of an I/O device error)

Could be a hard-drive failure.

First, reseat the drive, maybe try another cable.

If that does not fix things, go into the BIOS, see if there is a drive scan utility there, run it. If not, get the boot CD here http://ultimatebootcd.com/, it contains drive test utilities you can run. If you find drive errors, replace the drive and re-install Windows. You can try to get your data out of the drive with an exernal enclusure or setting up the drive as a secondary in the system.
