I have read the threads and they don't solve my issue.

I have never posted a question before so I will try and provide as much info in the beginning as possible.
Computer :
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Intel Core i7 - 4700HQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz
RAM 16GB
64-bit operating System, x 64 based processor
Mother board: Lenovo Y50-70 Touch (U3E1)

I tried downloading Itunes and I keep getting this error

Also I tried running a virtual machine last week using linux live usb creater and virtual box but it keep telling me I wasn't running on a 64bit machine. I downloaded the 32bit but I still had error.

I installed Microsoft Office Professional 64bit and it runs just fine.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Also I tried this http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/itunes-install-error/c1359ee5-e18d-4512-8bff-890936db2810 and that didn't work.

I read this but it just confused me http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2643995

That didn't work either. So I uninstalled all apple software and reinstalled the previous version of itunes. Its up and running now. I turned off auto updates of course.
Not sure that to do about the overall 64 bit issue.

Thanks for trying.

Hi,
I had the same issue and tried for several hours to figure it out, the only thing that worked was installing an earlier version of itunes. I was trying to install 12.2.2.25- and it gave me the exact same error codes.

here is a link for the older versions...https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6562#versions

Hope this helps,
Mikee

I have a GT 650m (a 3 years old card) and tried every workaroud and even went for the microsoft support to get the adverted Hotfix (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2643995) with no results.

After days of not having music on my pc and going to the apple store to get some support to at least get my music on my iPhone, I found that link.

It seems weird at first, but, the file in question is not conflicting in this copy of itunes, even if the video rendering is completely poopy in the version, so, it's an apple side problem and I'll keep using VLC for my videos anyway. Happy to help you fix that if it works for you too guys.

By the way, I also have a Lenovo, the Y500.
