My Samsung Notebook 7 gave a message about updating drivers. I tried a support chat which ended with the rep downloading driver updates. The notebook then went to blue screen "PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. For more information about this issue and possible fixes, visit https://www.windows.com/stopcode." (There is no such website) "If you call a support person, give them this info: Stop code NTFS FILE SYSTEM." I spent several days talking with Microsoft who recommended reinstalling Windows 10. The MS rep said if the pc won't recognize the USB, then I have to talk to Samsung. The laptop didn't boot from the USB. Spent hours and hours talking with Samsung rep but we couldn't get it to even recognize F4 for a factory reset. It won't recognize F8 or any other key except F2 for BIOS. It goes straight to diagnose and repair disk but even when I left it running on repair disk for 5 hours, it never stopped. It seems crazy to me that there is no recovery option, no safe mode, no BIOS boot up that worked. The secure setup program is Phoenix Securecore Tiano setup. Isn't there some way to get it to boot up from the Windows 10 repair USB?

When you say "It won't recognize F8 or any other key except F2 for BIOS. It goes straight to diagnose...." are you saying that when you turn on the computer and press F2 that it boots into BIOS and then immediately goes into diagnose and repair? Or are you actually in BIOS?

Time to get creative. If this were my laptop, I'd unplug it, remove the battery, hold the power button down for 15 seconds or so (just for luck), then remove the HDD. Put the battery back in it, plug it in, turn it on, see what happens. Let us know. If you've tried this already, let us know quicker...
