Hi!
I was installing Win 7 from a USB onto a fresh 1 TB HDD. I created and formatted the following partitions from the 'Drive Options Menu':
(100 MB - System)
79.9 GB - Primary
300+ GB - Primary
500 GB - Primary
..then I clicked next and the installation started.
At the point where the installer was 'Expanding Windows files', an error occurred and installation was halted. I failed to take note what it was exactly but I remember it said a couple of files from the installer were corrupted and I had to use/run chkdsk. I cancelled the installation, had the USB installer checked and found no errors.
I repeated the installation from the top. When I got to the 'Drive Options Menu', it was showing only 128 GB of unallocated space. At the bottom of the window there was a link that read "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the BIOS menu"
I have no idea what to do at this point. I hope I didn't damage the HDD. Maybe someone can help? Thanks!
