I have a Lenovo Ideadpad 310 running Windows. It's by no means a great computer, but it does the job. The way it came it had 8 gb of memory, four preinstalled and four SODIMM. At some point, it started having hardware memory problems on and off at seemingly random intervals, but it's gotten worse recently. I tried removing the SODIMM and even replacing it, but the problem has not improved. I assume that, because of that, the problem is with the preinstalled memory. Is there a way that I can force the computer to use only the replaceable stuff and ignore the 4gb preinstalled?
