Hi, hope you can help me because its driving me crazy.
Whenever I try to do "something", the laptop (HP 250 G5), Windows throws me that error. For example, when W10 is loading or when I want to make a hard reset. I decided to reinstall W10 but it also happens when im trying to load the setup.
Basically, whenever the W10 logo shows up, the error shows up. I don't know what to do anymore.
I really need help trying to make my notebook operable again.

Solution
Hi Colif, thanks for answering. I have ran the memtest software that is provided with the hp bios and after 10 minutes it finished and gave me no error. The notebook is new and it was used for a few hours after installing windows 10 for the first time. Prior to that, I had problems trying to install Windows 7 because of drivers problems.
Im afraid to open up the notebook and lose the warranty.

Taken from another thread almost similar to my problem:
I would turn the machine on and it would boot, go through the hp splash screen and then immediately BSOD with the IRQL error when it tried loading windows. Auto recovery on the HDD itself was unable to fix any startup issues, and whenever I would try to reset windows from the recovery tool on the HDD itself I would crash with IRQL BSOD.

PD: Something to add, sometimes the bluee screen throw KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error and this one PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA.

Im not at home right now and can't remember if it mentioned a filename but im pretty sure it didnt, just IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and sometimes it saved the log but I can't see it since I cant even pass the load. Sometimes the bluee screen throws KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED or PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA.
Rarely im able to load Windows but when trying to load the desktop, bang, IRQL error.

I tought that I would not have this problem when trying to reinstall W10, but the error happens always 100% after I press a button to initiate W10 installation.

Are you installing win 10 using a USB made using the Windows 10 media creation tool

those errors sound like typical driver errors though its odd to get them booting from USB
the non paged area is ram, but that doesn't mean problem is ram, just that it happened there. Without being able to test ram, it is impossible to cross it off list. Don't want you losing warranty though (catch 22)

Was the other example you showed also from HP or just similar story?

I used Rufus to make the USB bootable for W10. The other example was a desktop case http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3509622/irql-equal-windows-boot-loop-error.html
The HP memtest is not a reliable test? I could try running the memtest86 but running with both memory sticks.
The first time when I tried to run W7, it couldn't load the drivers for usb 3.0. I added them to the iso but then another error appeared and I desisted. Then I installed W10 and everything was fine until yesterday when I plugged a mouse and keyboard (both via usb), worked fine for a few hours and then it happened.

In 1st post, what do you mean by hard reset?

I am not sure how reliable the hp memtest is.

Windows 7 and USB 3 is fun, if this wasn't a laptop one way you could do it is remove hdd and put it in another PC, download the drivers, put them in a folder on the hdd you moved, reinstall hdd and install drivers.. but that isn't a viable method on laptop.

how far do you get booting for the win 10 installer? Does it bsod right away or let you get into the installer? If you can get to 2nd screen, you can choose repair this PC, not install
If that works, there are a few options you could try.

can try system restore:
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose system restore
pick a date, if you lucky there was drivers installed yesterday for mouse/kb and you can pick that date (as win 10 should create a restore date when you install drivers). If there isn't one from yesterday, just choose most recent.
PC will restart and roll system back to this date, hopefully fixing error.

can try to get to safe mode
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
Pc will restart and load safe mode

If you can get here (as sometimes start up options isn't an option) the PC should work as in safe mode it only uses windows drivers, and they normally don't cause IRQ errors.

If you can get to safe mode, open file explorer up, navigate to C:\Windows folder, change views to show hidden files and folders, and copy the memory.dmp file from here to a USB and then upload that file to a file sharing site and show link here. I will get someone to look at it for us and find cause.

Thanks a lot sir!
By hard reset I meant making the W10 troubleshoot clean everything. As for now, what I can actually do sometimes is press ESC and then F11 (Recovery Options <- Troubleshoot)

What I tried in Troubleshoot:
Refresh PC -> Loads to random X% and undo the changes because there was a problem.
Reset PC -> Same as above.
System Restore -> Cant restore to previous backup.
Startup Repair -> Nothing changes.
Command Prompt -> It works, I tried sfc /scannow and no errors.
Startup Settings -> Tried Safe Mode and was able to load desktop for maybe 10 seconds and then splash error.

Those are the screens i was sending you to. If it crashes in Safe mode with errors it looks like a hardware problem. I would take it to HP and ask them to fix it. They would run into same problems installing win 10 I think.

This point it could be ram, or maybe hdd. Its under warranty, let them sort it out.

Oh, I see T_T
Well, I will have to call for the warranty then. I had it for 1 week, this was very unlucky.
As a last chance thing, could I load a Linux distro and delete Windows/format the partition where Windows is and try to install it again?

well, you could just as easily download this, wipe hdd and try to reinstall win 10 but if you get errors again, the only other choice could be the USB itself

http://www.dban.org/

could also load linux and see if you get any errors in it. As its unlikely its a windows problem if linux had errors too.

prefer to fix this without HP too if I can :)

Colif, when I get home I will try both method and hope to make it work again! First I will try running a Linux distro and if it doesnt work, I will procced to wipe the hdd with that software.
I will keep you informed!

Colif, right now im using ubuntu without installing it. Everything is working fine in Ubuntu. How should I proceed to make a clean installation of Windows 10?

Nevermind, even on Ubuntu the screen freeze randomly. I have ran memtest86 and gave me 0 error, couldn't try running it with 1 memory stick.
I guess I will have to call hp support and make use of the warranty.

As you have suggested, they cannot even tell if its a "software" or hardware problem. I mean, they are telling me its a software and not hardware related and because of that they cant apply the warranty. I don't know what to do, still trying to fight that this is a hardware problem.
Is there a way to do a low level format? I have tried running memtest86 and it did OK, this notebook just run 1 stick of SDRAM DDR4. I was thinking of doing a low level format on the HDD and see if im able to install any SO.

You shouldn't do low lvl formats of hdd anymore.

The only software I can see it being is the BIOS, as laptop freezes running ubuntu and won't install win 10, so there is no other software running at time.

There is one BIOS update on site, F.33 Rev.A, but i cannot tell if it will help.

Who has laptop? Did you send to HP or just contact them?

I will ask if anyone else has any ideas once you let me know more.

The BIOS version I have is F.25
I have got the laptop, I contacted HP via chat.
Would it help to update the BIOS?
