"Error loading operating system" with a RAID-0 installed.

Hardware involved:
Seagate Barracudas of varying size
Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe

I recently decided to reinstall Windows, but I had previously used a somewhat-less-than-legal copy that had RAID drivers slipstreamed into it which allowed me to install on the RAID-0 I had set up with two Seagate SATA drives. Now I have a legal copy which cannot install on the RAID array and I've given up on that and am just using a single SATA drive for the OS.

When I installed Windows XP SP2 on this drive with no other drives plugged in it worked great once the access mode was set to LARGE, but when I plug the RAID drives back in (using them as a slave) I once again get the "Error loading operating system" message.

Anyone have any ideas as far as whats wrong?

all i have to say is wtf - u get what u pay for - what comes around goes around!

install the os properly

turn off all oc
turn down the ram or increase the voltage slight _ use this trick at your own risk

make a driver disc - you need 3 things on it to work - you can make one manually if you must. make a raid driver disc

inable the raid in the bios
build the raid
loadwindows
hit f6
make sure you reformat the drives
load windows!
