diskette drive0 seek failure
primary drive 0 not found
strike thef1 key to continue, f2 to run setup utilities.

what do I do, please help thanks

If the system been moved check the IDE and floppy cables to see if there on. On the cables make sure there on right. There a pin one marking on both. Putting a floppy cable on wrong the floppy light at post will stay on.

If the system a few years old it could be a dead CMOS battery. If the ade and time in the bios is not holding it the battery.

f2 brings up setup utilities, there the time and date are correct, I press esc and the black screen that says PRIMARY DRIVE 0 NOT FOUND
STRIKE THE F1 ,that does nothing, f2 to run setup utilities.
Even if I could download something from a disc, how could I open the disk when my screen is black with just these words on it.

You checked the cables and they all seem tight but when you power up, can you feel the hard disk spinning? Be careful in there with the power on but a light touch on the hard drive will tell you if it's working. Do you have a Vista DVD? If so, pop it in the CD/DVD ROM and see if it can boot the system. If you don't have one, you could download a Linus operating system and burn that to a CD to test the hardware. Post back for how to do that if you want to give it a go.
